Following the successful Grand Opening of CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile) in March 2019, we are proud to announce the next series of exciting events – our 2019 Summer Programme!

Gathering Delights – Hong Kong’s first-ever large-scale solo exhibition of Indian artist N S Harsha, will present India’s textile heritage and contemporary art, showcasing various participatory activities, including hands-on workshops, lectures, learning tours, performances, artists’ discussions, experimental collaborations with local textile artisans and farming communities.

Gathering Delights will feature over 20 works by Harsha that spans over 20 years of his career. Apart from presenting Harsha’s expansive artistic practices, CHAT will also conduct community programmes in collaboration with one of India’s first organic farmers from Krac-A-Dawna Organic Farm and other learning programmes to offer new dimensions in exploring how nature stimulates creative thinking and artistic forms. Local collaborators include Breakthrough Art Studio, Giants Tie Dye, Momentous Community of Creative Compassion, O-Veg and Fashion Clinic, with special collaborator lululemon.
