Join our Shibori Bandana Workshop, co-hosted with Debbie Leung, and create matching accessories for yourself and your best furry friend. Learn about the history of traditional shibori, a Japanese tie-dye technique that creates myriad patterns through folding, twisting, and stitching to manipulate the fabric. Hong Kong fibre artist Debbie Leung will then walk you through all the steps of the dyeing process using natural indigo, an organic dye ingredient derived from plants. You can also join the special “Setting Up an Organic Indigo Vat” session, in which the artist will explain the fermentation process of indigo and share tips on how you can replicate this at home!
