These thoughtfully curated sessions are designed to refresh your body and mind, while inspiring you to redefine what ‘healthy’ truly means—for you and your family.

AIA ‘Rethink Healthy’ Workshop - The Mindful Microgreen Garden

Workshop comprises of 2 parts.

  • Part I will be a 20 – 30 minutes farm work at the DECK, 2/F of The Mills
  • Part II will be introducing microgreens as a tool for mindfulness, stress reduction, and nutritional boosting. This is a fast, accessible, and desktop-friendly activity.

Workshop Experience:

  •  Introduction: Connect the act of gardening to mindfulness. Discuss how repetitive, gentle tasks like sowing seeds and misting plants can act as a form of active meditation, pulling us away from digital screens and into the present moment.
  • Hands-On Activity: Each participant gets a small, elegant tray, a growing medium (e.g., coconut coir), and a selection of seeds (e.g., broccoli, radish, pea shoots). They will sow their own microgreen garden to take to their desk.
  • The “Mindful Harvest” Ritual: Teach participants how to harvest their microgreens, focusing on the scent, the colour, and the sensation, turning a simple task into a daily mental reset.
  • Participants can bring home a ready-to-grow microgreen tray for their desk, a guide on mindful harvesting, and nutritional information after the workshop.

AIA ‘Rethink Healthy’ Workshop - A Sustainable Christmas Wreath

Workshop comprises of 2 parts.

  • Part I will be a 20 – 30 minutes farm work at the DECK, 2/F of The Mills
  • Part II will be guiding participants in creating their own beautiful, natural Christmas wreath using upcycled, foraged, and farm-sourced materials, promoting sustainable traditions and mindful creativity.

Workshop Experience:

  • Introduction: Instead of plastic and glitter, we’ll use the gifts of nature – clippings from our urban farm, foraged pine, and upcycled elements. This act of creation is not just craft; it’s a mindful practice that connects us to the cycles of nature and leaves a legacy of sustainability.”
  • Hands-On Activity:
  • The Greenery: Use clippings from the rooftop farm (e.g., rosemary) and ethically foraged evergreen branches.
  • The Decorations: Offer a “Sustainable Decor Station” with:Dried citrus slices.  Pine cones collected from nature. Natural twine or yarn for binding. Other biodegradable decorative materials.
  • The Base: Provide each participant with a base made with sustainable and biodegradable materials.
  •  The “Mindful Adornment” Ritual: Encourage participants to work quietly and mindfully for a portion of the session, focusing on the sensory experience – the scent of the pine and rosemary, the texture of the cones, the repetitive and meditative motion of attaching materials. This turns the craft into a calming, mental reset. Participants will bring home a beautiful, unique, and fully biodegradable Christmas wreath that employees can hang on their door or use as a centerpiece after the workshop. They also leave with the knowledge and inspiration to create sustainable holiday traditions in the future.
