The festival includes everything from a Family Interactive Music Experience to a Kids Market and a wonderful “Travel Around The Mills with ISATISSE”.  local illustrator Isabel Tong once again is invited by The Mills to have her illustrated character Isatisse playing as the main character of The Mills Kids Festival this year. Bring your kids some excitement this summer, raise their spirits and ignite their imagination.

The Around-The-World Music Fantasy – Family Interactive Music Experience

Enjoy a family trip around the world NOW!  The “Around-The-World Music Fantasy” is an interactive music experience for the whole family! Imagine travelling through a world of music and singing favourite songs from different cultures, including Japan and Thailand in Asia, Brazil in South America, and Africa. It’s like stepping through an “Anywhere Door”, to the cultures of the world, while experiencing the uniqueness of the different customs, traditions and music styles.

The “Around-The-World Music Fantasy” will be staged at the Fabrica Atrium on 18-21 August. It is curated by local renowned musician Vicky Fung who has brought it about together with music director CMgroovy, and renowned percussionist Anna Fan and other musicians including musical performer Emola and the multi-talented kid performer Janice. Mindfulness will be introduced as well with a guided breathing exercise. This fantasy musical journey is an all-in-one experience for families, with elements of music,  amusement and wellness. A “must-try” experience for families looking for a warm-hearted and energising holiday!

The Mills Kids Market After receiving great critical acclaim last year, parents have been longing for the return of The Mills Kids Market. Now their wish has come true, and on 27-28 August kids can once again be their own bosses.  The Mills Kids Market will be once again designed by “ohmykids”, an expert in designingprograms for kids to shine and experience new adventures. Under the theme of handcrafted products and games, the kids will be responsible for designing unique products or games making use of simple materials, building their own plans, and running their own stalls like a little entrepreneur. Travel Around The Mills with Isatisse

The Mills worked hand in hand with local illustrator Isabel Tong on the “Travel Around The Mills with ISATISSE” programme. The illustrated character Isatisse accompanies visitors along  their trips around the iconic sites of the Mills while telling them the stories behind . This August, visitors can take a deeper look into the roles played by a variety of iconic and highly instagrammable elements including the sand buckets, The Park, the original staircase, the NF5 Gate, the CHAT (Centre for Heritage Arts and Textile), the Golden Cup Metal Gate, the Pak Tin Par Lane, and the Glass Bridge. Visitors can collect stamps for their maps at each of the spots they visit as mementos of their journey through the local textile history.
