As students, we never thought about a day when textbooks would bring us fond memories of our time at school, spending time with our friends, being shaped into who we are now.

Organized by The Mills and the exhibition partner @oldtextbooks , the “Old Textbooks: The Good Old Days” exhibition will be held at The Mills from June 14th to July 10th. Apart from Chinese, English, Maths, Society and Health Education textbooks, the exhibition will also showcase school items including monitor bands, medals, and campus posters.

This exhibition aims to highlight changes in culture, values, and landscapes. Most importantly, we hope to bring back old stories and memories from our childhood, perhaps even reuniting long-lost friends.

【The Mills X Old Textbook Limited Edition Collection】

Drawn by the retro style illustrations he saw in the old textbooks, Lau Chi Chung designed new products inspired by Hong Kong daily life in a style that caries the essence of both old and new generations.

The postcards produced were designed with Riso stencil printing technology. Each postcard is unique in its way since the effect of each is slightly different.
