CHAT
About CHAT
CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile) is a part of the heritage conservation project of The Mills, the former cotton-spinning mills of Nan Fung Textiles in Tsuen Wan. Through its multifaceted curated programmes, which include exhibitions and co-learning programmes, CHAT aims to be an art centre that weaves creative experiences for all.
Threading Inwards
In the exhibition, we explore textiles as living pathways that intertwine into spiritual maps. They weave threads between people and place, ancestors and ecologies, the visible and the unseen, softness and strength, while opening up futures and possibilities of living, relating, and caring for the world.
Tidal Weavers: Islands Exchange
Tidal Weavers unfolds as a process and generative space of shared memory and interwoven knowledge. Central to it is an artist exchange between grassroots organisations across Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines and Taiwan to cultivate mutual learning and long-term collaboration.
